Paul's got a new ride! Yes, he located the gently-used Quicksilver Sport II pictured above and bought the sucka:

Folks,
Wish me luck, I will be flying a "90" Quick II back through Ohio that I recently purchased. Attached is a pic. It seems to be a real strong plane with new sails and BFT. Draw a line from Grove City PA and Cushing and that's pretty much my flight plan. Patti is off for the week as am I, and we have all week to get it back. She is my ground crew. She loves an adventure...that's why I married her. Anyway, if Murph doesn't visit, we'll be back by Tuesday, leaving tomorrow by car and leaving by plane from there on Monday morning. See you then.

Just a quick update. Paul set out for Cushing on Monday from a small PA town (near the OH state line). He flew 130 miles (or so) and set down for the night on Monday near Toledo. He made it yesterday to within 90 miles from "home", but the storms delayed his return - so last night he held up at a small town in IN. (Both places, the airport mgr found him hanger space and Patti - his ground support - enjoyed some "quiet time". He plan's to roll into Cushing today.
Will be something to hear and read about at the next club meeting.
But, by his own words, Paul made it safely back to the roost:

FVFC folks,
After a 470 mile trip, Patti and I made it home safe and sound with our semi new Quick Sport II (503). From Grove City PA we put on 235 miles on Monday, 131 miles on Tuesday and approximately 100+ today. Patti driving with gas and me flying. We were a perfect team with few difficulties. Today I hit a front coming back before an even larger storm and set down in a guys back yard. Needless to say it was a big surprise for he, his wife and his son, and we were welcomed into his nice home for some coffee while the storm passed. Off again and back to Cushing just in time. Unfortunately, that storm destroyed my camera and I have not one picture to show for the trip. Oh well....it was still a most excellent adventure.
