Karl's New Hangar
by Brian Gilomen

At looooong last, Kark Vacek -- ably assisted by FVFC-E's finest craftsmen --
has completed his hangar. Karl let the support crew know that his canvas
top had arrived from Mauritzon, and that Saturday, April 24, was the selected
day for the "hangar raising" party.
The following Monday, Karl wrote an email of thanks:
Thanks to everyone who came out and tugged on the ropes and dragged the tarp up onto my hangar against Saturday's wind. Sure glad that all went so smoothly, especially with the unexpectedly strong wind. Thanks particularly to Kevin and Bob Debs who stood on tall ladders in the high winds and got the last clamps tightened mere minutes before the rain started. Thanks also to Tony, Dan, Rickey, and everyone who lent a hand, a ladder, a tool, advice, etc., etc. -- without every one of you the job would have been impossible.
Here's to a great summer of flying ! Should have a smooth floor and a stocked refrigerator soon - please stop by for a visit !!

Kevin Bertorelli spoke for all us with the following reply:
Thanks Karl. I hope you now realize why we were so hard on you about finishing. We knew that the sooner you complete your hangar the sooner you’d be able to enjoy what all of us have struggled to create, our home away from home. You’ve still have work to do but with the roof completed you’re 90% home. Congratulation!
BTW, when are you going to have your plane ready to fly? :-)
