Kevin:

YOU, buddy, missed a fun flight today.  Me, Mick and Jude, and Vance left  for Morris for dinner at 4:40.  As usual, we left poor Rickey on the ground with a motor that wouldn't start (after it had started fine all day).  Jim wasn't able to leave with us.

Also as usual, Mick dragged us to Morris where we found nothing but a closed restaurant.  Figures.  That's the 3rd time he has done that to me now.

So, we flew to Rich's place, borrowed his car, and went to the Tempo Diner.  Yum!

The flight back was FANTASTIC!  Warm, a slight tail wind, and no bumps of any kind.  Hands off flying for 30+ miles, including the approach to Clow.  I can't remember having a smoother landing onto 18.  I set a nice glideslope over the building to the North, leveled off at 5 feet over the grass, and just floated it all the way to your hangar, where I finally put her down.

Sweet!

Brian

Oh yeah sure, rub it in. Well Brian, some of us have a real job :-) In fact I didn't get back from work until 1:30am this morning, got some sleep, then went back today and stayed till 7:00.  That's why I couldn't make your fantasy flight, no time. I'm glad that you guys did get a change to take advantage of the beautiful weather.  Wish I could have joined.  Rickey....what's up with your engine this time????

Kevin:

Spring is officially here because FVFC-E had its first group flight. I won't tell you that it was a beautiful evening because that would be an injustice -- magnificent, gorgeous maybe.  But here are some pictures to allow you to judge for yourself.  Missed you and Jude missed the Porta-Potti.

Mick
