Scam-a-Lot!

Article and Pictures by Brian Gilomen

Most of you guys missed it, but a few didn't.  Lucky them!  Those who had the navigational fortitude to dare a trip to Downtown Chicago after the FVFC Christmas Party were presented the opportunity to watch yours truly, Brian Gilomen, and one of FVFC's newest members, Regina Scannicchio, make fools of ourselves singing, dancing and acting during the Chicago Bar Association's annual Christmas Spirits production.  This year's show, "Scamalot," was lovingly ripped-off from the Broadway hit "Spamalot."

Each December for the past 82 years, The Chicago Bar Association has produced "Christmas Spirits," a satirical musical revue, parodying local and national legal, political, sports and showbiz figures. In the grand "Christmas Spirits" tradition, the show this past December delivered hilarious parodies of the usual fare: political peccadilloes, governmental gaffes, legal lampooning, celebrity spoofs and election intrigue.

Regina and I are longtime members of the Entertainment Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.  I've now been doing this show for 27 years and Regina, well, she's lot's younger than me but she still has a whole bunch of shows under her trim belt.

Here are some cameo shots:

Can you spot your favorite FVFC member in this Choral Chain-Gang of felonious former City of Chicago and State of Illinois officials, aptly named The Co-Conspirators?  (If you say you recognize the legs of the prison matron guard on the right, I'm gonna want to know why!)

And, who is this newest member of the FVFC, and what infamous entertainer is she portraying?
